Blossom Card Kit

Here are a few ideas and instructions for Blossom Card Kit. Click here to view additional cards and templates.
                            Blossom Box


Step 1: Cut cardboard in two 6”w x 3”h, two 2 3/4”w x 3”h and one 5 3/4”w x 2 3/4”h piece.




Step 2: Punch a hole a 1/2” from the top and bottom and 1/4” from the sides of 6”w x 3”h and 2 3/4”w x 3”h pieces. These will be the sides. The 2 3/4”w x 5 3/4”h unpunched piece will be the base.



Step 3: Cut a piece of cardstock to 6 3/4”w x 3 3/4”h.
• Score 1/2” in around the rectangle.
• Cut 1/2” x 1/2” square notch on each corner.


Step 4: Adhere the 5 3/4”w x 2 3/4”h un-punched piece of cardboard to the center of the cardstock.
• Place red line adhesive or double-sided tape on tabs.
• Fold tabs inward and set inside box.
• Removes tape lining and adhere to box sides.




Step 5: Fold up two sides. Cut 8 pieces of tulle at cream tulle at 6” and tie a through both cardboard pieces. 
Repeat until all of the sides are done.
• Embellish and add cards.

Step 6: Tear three 6”w x 1”h strips of each of the flower, aqua grid and the stripe paper. 
• Layer and adhere to the front of the box. 
• Create 3 torn cream colored cardstock flowers, and 2 leaves. 
• Arrange and adhere to box.


                            Mini 3"x3" Cards



Celebrate


Step 1: Cut cream cardstock to 6”w x 3”h; Fold in half.


Step 2: Cut the aqua with mini red flowers paper to 2 7/8”w x 2 7/8”h. Adhere to card front.

Step 3: Cut the orange with dots paper to 2 1/4”w x 2 1/4”h. Adhere to the lower right corner of the card.

Step 4: Cut the aqua with orange dots paper to 1 3/4”w x 1 3/4”h. Adhere to the lower right corner of the card.

Step 5: Cut out the “Celebrate” sentiment and adhere to card with pop dots.

Step 6: Create a flower, star with a 2” square and two leaves as shown on pages 2 and 3. Adhere to card.


You're My Favorite Kind of Flower
Step 1: Cut cream cardstock to 6”w x 3”h; Fold in half.

Step 2: Cut the green flower paper to 2 7/8”w x 2 7/8”h. Adhere to card front.

Step 3: Cut a border strip from the brown paper to 2 7/8”w x 7/8”h. Adhere to card.

Step 4: Punch out a 2” scalloped circle and fold in thirds. Adhere ends together. Adhere flowers to card with pop dots. Cut a 10” piece of ribbon and tie a bow. Adhere bottom of the flower.

Step 5: Cut out the “You’re my Favorite Kind of Flower”. Tuck part of the sentiment behind the flower and adhere to card with pop dots.


Hello

Step 1: Cut cream cardstock to 6”w x 3”h; Fold in half.

Step 2: Cut the white flowers on gold paper to 2 7/8”w x 2 7/8”h. Adhere to card front.

Step 3: Cut aqua paper to 3/4”w x 2 7/8”h. Adhere to card.

Step 4: Cut a 2 1/2”, 2”, and a 1 1/2” circle. Tear the edges. Crumple torn circles before layering to give them a bit of dimension. Layer and adhere the circles starting from the largest to smallest. Adhere flower to card.

Step 5: Cut a 5” piece of ribbon. Trim one end at a sharp angle to thread through the button easier. Thread ribbon through button and tie. Trim the ribbon edges and adhere to the center of the flower.

Step 6: Punch out the “Hello” sentiment and adhere to the card with a pop dot.





Bloom Where You are Planted


Step 1: Cut cream cardstock to 6”w x 3”h; Fold in half.

Step 2: Cut the notebook paper to 2 7/8”w x 2 7/8”h. Chalk the edges and adhere to card front.

Step 3: Cut aqua grid paper to 1/4”w x 3”h. Crimp paper by folding back and forth. Cut a piece of brown baker’s twine to 7”. Tie a bow around the strip and adhere to card.

Step 4: Cut 3 - 3” pieces of the salmon ribbon, cut the ends at an angle. Fold in half, layer pieces and staple together. Adhere to card.

Step 5: Cut out the “Bloom Where You are Planted” and chalk the edges. Adhere to card.

5 Fabulous Flowers

These flowers are easy to create and are great for cards, layouts, paper arts projects and more!


Rosette Flower
   
       
Step 1: Cut patterned paper to 1”h x 12”w. Score every 1/4”. Accordion fold paper.






Step 2: Place adhesive on one end of the accordion and adhere to the other end of the accordion strip. This should create a circle.


Step 3: Push circle flat and place a glue dot on the center. Turn over and add glue to the center.  Add another glue dot and cover with paper circle.
* Hot glue gun can also be used to keep your rosette flowers intact.
* Embellish the rosette by adding a button or jewel to the center. You can also punch out 3 different sized circles. Layer and adhere circles to rosette.





Roll-Up Flower



Step 1: Cut a 3 1/4” square, tear into a circle. Draw a spiral and tear along your pencil lines.


Step 2: Start on the outer edge and tightly roll. Continue rolling working your way towards the center.




Step 3: Place a small piece of red liner tape on the center of the circle and adhere flower.




Scalloped Edge Flower and Crimped Leaves


Scalloped Flower

Step 1: Punch out five 2” scalloped circles.


Step 2: Fold in thirds. Adhere the scalloped edges together. Repeat step with remaining circles.


Step 3:  Stack and arrange. Adhere petals together.


Crimped Leaves

Step 1: Draw two leaves onto patterned paper. Fold in half.



Step 2:
 Accordion fold the leaves, then flatten out the leaves.




Tulle Flower


Step 1: Punch out a 2” circle. Cover with tape or adhesive.



Step 2: Cut 19” pieces of aqua and peach tulle. Tie a knot on one end. Adhere the knot into the center of the circle. 



Step 3: Twist and wrap tulle until the circle is completely covered.



Step 4: Adhere the end underneath. Adhere flower to card.



Cupcake Liner Flower











Note: Skip step 1 if you are not adding color to your liners.
Step 1: Lay 5 white mini cupcake liners flat on a piece of parchment paper. Spray Glimmer Mist on all of the liners and let them air dry.



Step 2: Fold liner in half. Pinch the middle and fold the outside edges towards the center, this will create a pie shape. Repeat step with the remaining 4 liners. Add a glue dot to the points of the pie shaped liners.



Step 3: Punch or cut out a 1” circle. Adhere a liner to the circle with the point towards the center. Adhere the next liner slightly overlapping the first one. Continue layering and adhering the liners going clockwise.










Step 4: To make the flower blossom start from the back. Reach inside the first petal and twist the inside edge towards the middle. Repeat step for remaining petals. 







Embellish the center of the flower by adhering a sentiment, button, or jewel.
